We are searching for a Data Architect/Modeler to join our team in a remote position.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading public employee benefits system provider and play a crucial role in their multi-year, multi-phase modernization initiative.
In this role, you will:
Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive data architecture for a complex system landscape encompassing various functionalities, including enterprise content management, health insurance, and pensions.
Collaborate with key stakeholders (business partners, technical staff, vendors) to understand data needs and design efficient data flows for seamless transitions and future scalability.
Evaluate and recommend the most suitable data storage, retrieval, and management technologies and platforms.
Spearhead data integration and migration strategies to ensure smooth data transfer between existing and new systems.
Contribute to data governance by establishing policies and procedures to maintain data accuracy, security, and compliance.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical data specifications.
Develop and maintain documentation for data architecture, data flows, and data models to ensure clarity and consistency.
Provide guidance and mentorship to analysts and technical staff on data architecture and modeling practices.
Communicate effectively with diverse audiences (technical and non-technical) through presentations and reports.
Work independently and collaboratively across various teams (business users, architects, developers, etc.
)To be successful, you will have:
10
years of experience in IT and information management.
5
years of experience as a Data Architect or leading complex technology solutions involving data modeling.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
Proven experience with:
Complex technology systems implementations involving data solutions and API integrations.
Data management concepts and best practices (sourcing, master data management, data governance, data quality, etc.
).
Data modeling and database design methodologies.
Strong understanding of data architecture principles, database technologies, and SQL.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
Strong documentation skills to create clear and concise technical documentation.
Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proven track record of leading and delivering data platforms.
